1. Why?!?!

Cuz we felt like it. =P This is an editor for SRWars4 (Super Robot
Wars 4). This game is one of my favorite strategy games, right up there
with the Langrisser series. This editor allows players to access and use
pilots and robots not normally available for player use. =)

Our next projects will be to make an update to DerSRAMgrisser (it will be
a Windows app) and to make an all new editor for KOF-R2, a Neo Geo Pocket
Color game. =)

Well, enough with the intro. Onto the good stuff...

3. Usage
Make a backup of your game before using this editor. It's been bug
tested, but we make absolutely NO guarantees that everything is perfect.
Having a backup will prevent you from having to rebuild all your character
levels from scratch should there be a problem. It will also help us
determine what caused the problem in the first place.

Place the editor in the same folder as your saved game.
Run the executable. Enter the name of the sram file in the blank.
Select the slot that you wish to edit and click continue.

You will get a menu. The commands are self explanatory.
Be sure to click save changes before you exit the editor.

4. Credits

Roto (the maker of the BS Zelda hack) - For being a one-man programming
                                        team, single handedly coding
this editor in Windows, helped only
by the SRAM values that I supplied.
                                        You RULE! :)

LrdBozel (aka, Numquamex) - ME! ;)

The Gundam Project (http://gundam.anime.net/) - This page has a ton of
                                                info on the Gundam series.

5. Greets

Raine L. - Have fun in North Carolina. =) I miss ya... C ya soon. ^_^

Zophar - For your emulation page (and especially, the ROM hacking
message board). It really helped. A toast to ZD.
         Long live emulation.

To all the SNES emu programmers out there - This utility would be
                                            worthless if there were no
                                            emulators to run the saved
                                            game. :)

And to all our fans out there for their support.

6. Wish list

Here's some stuff that I wish someone could help me with. If you can,
please contact me. You WILL get credit. Wishes are listed from easy
to miracle. :)

1. Please send feedback. Let us know if you have any problems/suggestions.
If there is a problem, please send us your original sram, the sram after
being edited with this editor, and a list of what you did. We will try
to fix any bugs as soon as possible. Thank you.

2. I've been trying to get srm files to work with my SNES copier
(Super Disk Interceptor). There's nothing in the docs of my copier
about how to do this, but there should be a way. This copier can read
roms, so it is reasonable that it should be able to read srms as well.
However, when the copier makes its own "dumps" or srams, it does it in '
a weird format that is unreadable by computers. However, the roms
from computers ARE readable. I don't know if you just have to rename
the srms to something or if you have to add a header or what.
Someone out there should know. If you do, please contact me. :)

3. Rewrites of Der Langrisser. To everyone out there that wants to make
a new storyline for Der Langrisser, you are welcome to use this editor
to change the srm to fit your storyline. This should make it much
easier since you can change all the characters. You can make one for
the Chaos side with all the monsters. You could make on with the
heroes from the first game (Jessica and Ledin). Or something else. :)
All I ask is for you to give Roto and me credit for making Der
SRAMgrisser. Simple as that. No royalty fees or anything. ^_^
Though we would accept donations... ($1,000,000,000,000 US dollars
would make us feel very appreciated...) ;)

4. One of our original goals was to hack out the debug mode. Alamone's
Langrisser Memorial page says that a script dumps indicate it's
existence, but no one has been able to activate it. It may have
been programmed and then disabled. If anyone can re-enable it,
   please let me know.

5. Finally, our last unfulfilled goal was to make a scenario editor.
If you can make one, contact me. :)

6. Finally, our last unfulfilled goal was to make Langrisser into a 2
Player game. One player controls the normal player side, while
another controls the CPU side. Anyone want to help me hack this
   into the ROM?
